Warm and sunny: Vietnam

While Vietnam perhaps isn’t at the top of everyone’s list of places to visit, if you’re looking for somewhere that’s warm and sunny, and that has an amazing culture to boot, it might be somewhere you’d like to check out.

The temperatures do vary between north and south Vietnam, with temperatures in Ho Chi Minh (also known as Saigon) tending to be higher than those in Hanoi in the north. My experience of Ho Chi Minh was that it was almost more humid than its northern counterpart.

However, from what I saw of Vietnam, I can say that all of it is a go-to place for any traveller who loves absorbing the Sun’s rays, and who loves being outside in a warm, sunny clime. Not only that, but the lifestyle is well-suited to it, too—everyone’s up bright and early to escape the midday sun if necessary, and there are plenty of people spruiking the tropical fruit and coconut drinks that you might well need after a few hours of walking around in the heat.

If the city life isn’t for you, consider heading up to check out Ha Long bay, which is an area renowned for its amazing natural beauty—and for good reason. If you book a cruise, you’ll be able to spend a few nights on a boat that takes you around an amazing array of geographic formations, and I can assure you that you’ll be astounded by the quiet tranquility of the place.

If you’re finding that you’re in need of a warm and sunny destination to catch some rays and enjoy some tropical-inspired foods, do consider adding Vietnam to your list. It’s a surprisingly stunning place that you’ll no doubt enjoy.
