There are many things you have to do prior to any holiday, and even more if it’s abroad. But some of the basics remain the same, and for the ladies one of the most important things to do, other than remember to pack everything but the kitchen sink, is to ensure you are fuzz free. The last thing you want to be faced with is having to shave while on holiday. So what are the best options?

Waxing is generally the best option as it can be used on pretty much every area and last for up to 4 weeks. It is worth remembering to have this done a few days to a week prior to leaving to ensure any redness and irritation has gone down.

Hair removal creams do work and are far less painful than waxing, but they don’t last, in fact you’ll probably start to see re-growth in a matter of days which is only to prove to be a time consuming errand.

Epilators work in the same way as waxing, they pull the whole hair out from the root so it lasts for weeks, but like waxing it can be very painful and if it is your first time you’ll probably find you get quite a bit of redness and swelling from it.

You could take your trusty razor and shave every other day, but who wants to spend time in the bath or shower shaving all the ‘on display'bits while you could be soaking up the rays?

The final option, although costly, is laser hair removal. This option allows for up to 90% of the targeted hair to be completely and permanently removed. Courses vary in length and price and are available at most cosmetic surgery outlets. Although this is a very costly option it is a permanent solution to unwanted hair and when you consider the time and money saved in the long run it is worth the initial outlay.

Going on a vacation is a great experience, and many of us would like to take a prolonged vacation every year if we could. There are so many different locations we would like to visit and spend some time that we all hope that we can get to see them all. But we all know very well that we would have to do this on a strict budget. This means scouring around for ways to do this on a budget.

Our work in different fields, like those with health care jobs, makes going on a luxury vacation almost an impossibility. However, if you are a little tight on the budget then things may go awry. If you are a little short on the budget then the following tips might help you.

· Using the web: There are a lot of websites that offer special offers and discounts throughout the year. Browsing the websites thoroughly might help you out to find a holiday package within your budget.

· Try selecting off-the-beaten-path destinations. Usually these destinations are a lot cheaper than the other destinations.

· Travelling during off-peak season is also a viable option. Usually during the off-peak season hotels offer special discounts; therefore, taking your family for a trip would be a good option.

· Try being a bit more flexible with your travelling time. Usually flights during off-peak season cost a lot cheaper.

· Register with the travel websites. A lot of websites offer special deals and offers and they also email them directly. Therefore, if you are on a budget, do look out for these deals.

· Try camping as this may be a cheaper alternate to other accommodation options.

· Selecting areas within driving distance is also a good option. This means you can simply drive to that location instead of opting for other expensive means. </SP

There seems to be an unwritten rule that all honeymoon locations should be exotic. However, many individuals end up feeling disappointed when they find that the exotic locations have standard entertainment options. People then proceed to compromise on their expectations and come back and disappointed but pretend that they had a great time.

Well, honeymoon is something that comes only once in your life. It is not like negotiating with central heating oil suppliers. The latter task can be done again and again. Hence, plan your approach carefully and choose your destination after considering expectations.

It does not hurt to delay your honeymoon for a few months so that you can understand yourself better. I have discovered that my spouse loves adventure sports. This was not something I knew when I got married. The delay in the honeymoon trip that I planned after six years of marriage turned out to be a fantastic success. We came back completely exhilarated about the fact that we had pushed ourselves and had learned more about our capabilities. This will not be the ideal honeymoon agenda for others but that is what we wanted and we are very happy when we got what we desired.

If you still want to go in for exotic locations situated in a faraway land, you are most welcome to plan your trip accordingly. However, do not plan your trip just because others are seen to be doing the same thing. Chances are high that you will end up disappointed and will regret the fact that you spend so much money on such a boring trip.

Those who are looking to relax after their wedding should come to Bali, Indonesia for an intimate getaway. Bali may seem just like another of many travel destinations for honeymooners however it offers a paradise of lush beauty not just in the physical location but in the culture as well.

Indonesia is a majorly Islamic state, but in Bali Hinduism is the main religion. There are hundreds of temples; each one gives a glimpse into ancient traditions of Bali. There are many temples that you can visit that give spectacular breathtaking views of the island.

The best shopping in Bali is in the mountain town of Ubud. In Ubud you will find wood carving to be popular; the wood carvings range from jewelry to large furniture. Many artists will work out of their own home and their products can be found along the streets of Ubud. There are also a large amount of paintings in Ubud ranging from modern, realistic, abstract, traditional and landscapes. The prices can be bargained so don’t be afraid to start low as many will be willing to reduce prices dramatically.

Honeymoons are often about staying in the nicest places a destination has to offer. Bali offers high class places at a decent price. Maya Ubud is one of these places where you can choose from several private villas.

Bali is a very hot place and year round temperature will hover about 25 C and up. With high humidity it can be a sweaty place to be. One great option is that you can always go in your bathing suit or loose clothing. The hotels are the cheapest during the rainy season from October to April; the rain doesn’t last anymore than an hour at a time. If you are looking to stay in Bali for some time think of leasing a vehicle. They even offer BMW lease in this island.

Come and explore a part of the world that you have never been to and bring your loved one to this island paradise.

Bourges in France is recognised as a prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a history spanning around 900 years. It boasts an outstanding display of French Gothic architecture, particularly St Etienne cathedral. Here, the tower and the crypt offer a splendid view of the town for just a minor charge.

Another popular attraction in this city is the Palais de Jacques Coeur, which was constructed between the years 1443 and 1450. The man, Jacques Coeur, was the richest person in France at the time and also worked as a banker for Charles VII (when the banking world was devoid of all the insurance options of the 21st century, like equine liability insurance!). The building’s interior can be witnessed only with a guided tour, which involves a small charge. Meanwhile, north of Bourges'historic centre likes the Marais area, which contains a series of picturesque gardens that are landscaped with canals. It is a particularly large area of land, which takes up to 3 hours to explore fully. The rest of the city is also blessed with beautiful architecture, including half-timber houses and light-stone buildings, which are fairly typical of the town. One of the most notable mansions is the Mustee Esteve (otherwise known as the Palais des Echevins), as well as the Musee de Berry, which is free to enter.

A popular music festival known as the ‘Printemps de Bourges'takes place each year in April, which comprises of 30 concerts at numerous locations within the city. During this time many of the local bars and pubs host band concerts and the programme for Printemps is usually available by the beginning of March.

When I was a kid, I always used to bring back little holiday souvenirs as presents for my friends; stuff like badges or postcards or those novelty giant pencils. My parents were slightly less kind to their mates, and would usually come back armed with boxes and boxes full of slides that they’d make them sit through for hours! These days, they’re a bit kinder, and settle for paintings by the artist Paul Horton or some piece of local art, leaving the photography displays to the internet.

In fact, the idea of sitting around watching a slide show of someone’s holiday snaps is not just thought of as boring nowadays, but also very old fashioned. How many people even bother getting their photographs developed any more when they come back from vacation? Facebook has replaced the family photo album as the best way to show your friends what a fantastic time you had on holiday – and digital cameras mean that you only need to put up the pictures where you look great; just ignore any that make you look a bit too fat in your bikini!

I think the best thing about the advent of digital photography is not the sheer number of photos you can take on one trip or the fact that you can keep on snapping until you get the shot you want, it’s the fact that your precious memories are much more protected than when you only had papers copies. After all, you can store CDs full of your photos in the office or on a hard drive away from your regular PC and laptop. Then, should the worst come to the worst and your home be damaged by fire or a break-in, you won’t also have lost all your precious holiday memories.

When you’re visiting Manhattan and you’ve got a day to spare, I thoroughly recommend a trip a place that a real gem of Long Island. Far enough away to be quiet enough, close enough to make sense as an excellent day trip — but you’ve got to get up early enough of course. Fire Island is a long stretch of perfect white beaches where you can walk until your feet are coated in sand and your belly is ready for either one of the excellent pizzas sold on the island, or some of their trademark seafood recipes. Worries about mortgages, private health insurance comparison and child trust funds fade away when enjoying the treats this idyllic destination has to offer.
Fire Island is a long, narrow, and long island which you’ll probably want to take a ferry to. Sure, there’s a small road bridge, but it’s at the far end of the island, and it doesn’t make sense to take a car onto the island: there are no roads, just sandy tracks where the locals have small golf buggies and pull-carts instead of an automobile. In these small communities with beach houses lining the length and breadth of the island where the national park ends, you’ll find a friendly holidaying community. Few small on the island all year round, and at the height of summer you’ll find that it’s especially busy, but don’t let that stop you for heading out to the wonderfully white beaches.
The beaches are perhaps the biggest selling point. Relax the dozen mile long beach, and you don’t need to hear another person’s voice if you venture far enough. You’ll be hypnotized by the waves, the deer that practically own the island, and the many smiling faces. It’s a wonderful place to hire a beach house with friends, drink Scotch and cocktails on the porch, and share stories until the mosquitos force you inside.

Spain is one of the most visited destinations in the world, noted for its extended, hot, sunny summers and its vibrant Latin culture. It is particularly popular with holidaymakers from European countries such as Britain, Germany and Scandinavian countries, who are tempted by the warmer climate and the superb holiday resorts, such as those found on the Costa Brava and Costa del Sol coastlines.

Holiday accommodation, such as holiday villas in Spain, will generally be cheaper than in other popular holiday destinations, such as France and Italy, but certainly no less luxurious. There is an enormous range of accommodation to choose from, ranging from five star hotels in Barcelona to remote country houses in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Andalucía. Barcelona is the one of the most visited cities in Europe, famous for the towering Sagrada Familia and the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. Madrid, which competes with Barcelona for the title of the most visited city in the country, is the capital and offers an immeasurable number of attractions, such as the Royal Palace, the Gran Via and the Plaza Mayor.

Spain is also home to an extraordinary wealth of heritage, with 41 World Heritage Sites, the second highest number in the world after Italy. Notable sites include the historic centre of Cordoba, noted for its outstanding Moorish architecture, or the historic walled town of Cuenca, a stunning display of medieval architecture with breathtaking views.

Spain is a country that has transformed in recent years, after a succession of reforms have made it one of the world’s most liberalised countries. Before the 1970s, the country encountered the severe oppression of the Franco regime, which eventually collapsed following the death of Franco in November 1975. The country is predominantly catholic; however the legal system is secular like other traditionally catholic countries, such as France.

Once you visit Barcelona, you forget about everything else, all problems and worries, such as glasgow airport parking…

Barcelona. Finally.

The long summer break plans can not be compared with the expectation they start with.

This is why I can not explain the feeling when landing there and tremulous expectations for the next week and less.

It was love at first sight, first inhalation and first touch.

Contrary to my expectations, July is not stifling hot in Barcelona. The weather is bearable for the heat-lovers like me and my friend, with whom we shared this journey.

I will not explain with exclamations like “oh”and “ah”impressions of the city that is big and very beautiful.

Rather, I want to give useful guidance to Barcelona at all, not an organized trip.

The city has a long history that began in IV-III century BC

Today it is the capital of Catalonia – an autonomous community in Spain, which is very rich and this entitles it to almost complete independence.

People speak different Spanish, the area has the right to adopt its own laws on its territory, the media are different, the lifestyle is another.

The latest data in the city center are about 2 million people, and the entire region is home to almost 6 million people, making Barcelona one of the largest cities in Europe.

On the continent rarely seen anything like it, but here is a charming eclecticism in this anywhere.

Architecturally found buildings from Roman times among those in the Baroque style and traditional architectural monuments in the city style Art Nouveau. Among this diversity is unique and designed by architect Antoni Gaudi, which are a symbol of the city.

All that is fragmented by modern buildings which form its business image, but this mix anywhere does not and looks bad.

Barcelona can boast a unique combination of long sandy beaches (including well-kept city beach), communicative and lively central part and the low peak of Tibidabo, part of the hill Kolserola that reveals an impressive city views.

The city is divided into different areas: the old part (the foot of the hill), business center, a new part and tourist area (where the famous street La Rambla).

Here are some guidelines on how to select a location for your stay:

Barcelona hotels are quite expensive. There are very luxurious places with a unique design and amazing performance, but their price is equally impressive.

There is another type of hotels, but these can be rented for more than one night. Their name in Spanish do not remember well, but almost literally translates as “hotel for adulterers.

It turned out that often in the past and much less frequently today, men going to have a family, but at least one mistress in addition.

Exactly are those hotels: discrete insane, cheap and without a time limit for leaving – you can go in the late afternoon if you wish.

Confidentiality is guaranteed up to a maximum – at the same time stay only one serving guests.

The reception is mostly in the basement, leading to the parking lot. Between cars entering the hotel, there are opaque curtains, so I do not know who is in front of you or what they should.

Payment is immediately, and then guests can order a snack and something to drink, but to set their accompanying staff. Required.

Incoming and outgoing not detect – when customers want to leave, first calling the front desk, then expect someone to come and accompany them to their car.

It even was equipped even after the arrival of special cases of numbers can not trace the owner.

Picture strongly resembles a David Lynch movie by adding to it the fact that Mr. Astana windows are usually painted with black paint or have been darkened by thick blinds that are most often not be lifted more than a few centimeters.

Hostels are few and unrelated to the ones you can see in Germany, Denmark or Holland.

Most are designed in traditional style on the field – have large sunny terrace (if not the most central part), small rooms and well equipped offices, but usually with shared bath, for which waiting for hours.

Situated either in the tourist part of town, which is like a hive of bees mad or uncomfortable places where public transportation is remote.

Me and my friend chose a very different version – we rented an apartment.

In Barcelona, as in other European cities, an increasingly common practice is to rent private homes for short stays.

Locals often have several apartments or have summer homes outside the city, which literally carry the entire season.

This creates an opportunity to end up in a perfectly equipped apartment with all necessary facilities, including utensils and a cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron and ironing board and what not.

Typically, large groups enjoy more benefits – have more choice and opportunities for really reasonable price.

With couples is slightly more complicated, but we were lucky to find an ideal place to stay in Barcelona, which was not even at all expensive in the background of other places in the city, and then at the height of the season.

During the colder months (January, February and March when temperatures average 10 degrees), the stay can be very cheap – discount accommodation fell by 60%.

Whether traveling to get away and relax or trying to escape the cold weather, a cruise to a tropical and sunny destination is in order. Below are three sunny destinations that anyone can really let their hair down and relax in the sun.

Hawaii

The Hawaiian Islands are a popular destination to travel to via cruise. There are plenty of cruise lines which will have you hopping around to Honolulu to other tropical islands. You can also take a cruise which can start in Mexico and will cruise you around the Pacific ocean as you relax and enjoy your voyage to your trip to Hawaii. Cruises can be anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks long depending on where you start off.

The Caribbean

This is another fabulous cruise destination that most people from the east coast or the south enjoy. You can visit the beautiful culture of these islands where you can view ancient civiliztions, coastlines of beachs and beautiful waters.

The South Pacific

Another breathtaking cruise destination would be the French Polynesian islands such as Tahiti. Here you will find white sandy beaches, spectacular ocean view, lots of sunshine and even evenings filled with stargazing. Because this destination is not as popular as Hawaii or The Caribbean, it is a perfect getaway for a quiet and peaceful trip to paradise.

Sunny cruise trips are perfect for those types of people who like to enjoy some relaxing time on the beautiful waters while they wait to arrive in their tropical destination of pure heaven. It gets you away from you regular life, where you have to spend you time cleaning, doing accounts and trying to buy sofas on a busy Saturday. Its a perfect vacation without the hassle of crowded airlines. Just grab your sunscreen, sun glasses, towels and bathing suits and enjoy the ride of pure tranquility.
